Museums: The Museum of the History of the Tatars of the Simbirsk-Ulyanovsk Krai opened

September 24 at the Center of the Tatar culture in Ulyanovsk was opened the Museum of the History of the Tatars of the Simbirsk-Ulyanovsk Krai. The exposition includes rare artifacts of the Tatar life, history, education and culture of the Ulyanovsk region. The exposition is based on personal belongings of famous people, who contributed to the preservation and development of the Tatar language and culture.

The exhibition features translations of the Koran into thirty languages of the world, old women’s jewelry with semi-precious stones, front-line newspapers, published in the Tatar language during the Great Patriotic War, letters of soldiers from the front.
