International events: Preparations to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War to be considered at the meeting of the Council of Heads of the CIS in Minsk

October 24-25, 2013 in Minsk the President of Russia Vladimir Putin will take part in meetings of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the Council of Heads of the CIS.

At the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC) Presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will consider the main directions of the development of integration in Eurasia. It is expected to exchange views on issues of formation of the Eurasian Economic Union by January 1, 2015, including the work on the project about the EEU. It is planned the signing of several bilateral documents on trade, competition, organization of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

During the meeting of the Council of Heads of the CIS will be discussed perspectives for expanding the trade-economic integration, the cooperation in the field of law enforcement and the development of cultural ties, in particular the preparation of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and the announcement of 2014 to be the Year of Tourism in the CIS.
