Society and culture: International Scientific-Practical Conference “Art and authority” in Saratov

October 17-19, 2013 in Saratov, on the basis of the Volga Branch of the Russian Academy of Arts is held the International Scientific-Practical Conference “Art and Authority” with the participation of representatives from Slovakia, France, the United States (North Dakota), China, Ukraine.

At the conference will be considered the following main problems: the Russian Academy of Fine Arts in the new cultural situation, the academic art education and contemporary art, the experience of international relations and communications, urgent problems of the formation of a creative personality, subjects, objects and practices of contemporary cultural politics, the arts and local authorities, strategies and institutions of contemporary art practice, the model of inter-regional cooperation, the art against terrorism, the problems of the protection of cultural heritage, the city as an aesthetic and social phenomenon (the power and the environment) and etc.

The conference covers the plenary and breakout sessions, roundtables, workshops, presentations, exhibitions, publishing and art projects.
