Information technology and security: The conference on security issues in cyberspace opened in Seoul

Security measures in cyberspace and the fight with hacker attacks are the main topics of the opened conference on October 17, 2013 in the capital of the Republic of Korea “Seoul Conference on Cyberspace-2013”.

The two-day forum is attended by approximately 1.6 million participants from 87 countries (including Russia) and 18 international organizations, private companies and public organizations.

The topic of the conference is defined as: “Global prosperity through open and secure cyberspace: opportunities, threats and cooperation”.

According to the representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, in addition to fighting cybercrime issues the members of the forum discuss the strengthening of international cooperation in cyberspace and security measures.

In the three outcomes it will be presented the basic principles of the fight against crime in cyberspace and practical recommendations.
