History of Russia: Military-historical conference “1943 – a year of radical change in the Great Patriotic War” in Moscow

October 16, 2013 the Club of commanders of the Russian Federation in conjunction with the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War with the information support of the Russian military-historical society holds a museum of military history conference on the theme “1943 - a year of radical change in the Great Patriotic War”.

The conference is devoted to the study of strategic offensive operations in 1943, achieving a fundamental turning point in Great patriotic War, the strengthening the authority of the Soviet Union in the international arena, as well as the results of the negotiations during the Tehran Conference.

During the conference will be discussed the features of training offensives at Stalingrad, Kursk, crossed the Dnieper, including organization, communication and management , the implementation of the military intelligence, the battle for supremacy in the air, the efficiency of air defense.

A considerable attention will be paid to the role of party-political work in the army, organizing a logistical support for the troops, as the defense industry in the USSR in 1943 and its role in ensuring a fundamental turning point in the great patriotic War.

To participate in the conference are invited veterans – participants of the Great patriotic War, members of the military leaders of the Club of the Russian Federation, the researchers – Doctors of military, historical, economic sciences, representatives of the Presidential Administration of Russia, the Government of the Russian Federation, the Council of Veterans of Foreign Affairs, as well as museum specialists and members of the Russian Military Historical Society.

The life and career experience of military men - members of the conference - will in hindsight appreciate the greatness of the feat of the Soviet people in the battles of 1943, to formulate conclusions and proposals to counter attempts to falsify the national military history.
