Libraries and education: Conference “Modern library: from project developments to their implementation” in Voronezh

As part of the anniversary events on October 2-3, 2013 at the Voronezh State Agricultural University of Emperor Peter I is held the International scientific-practical conference “Modern Library: from project developments to their implementation”.

To participate in the conference are invited research-teaching and library workers, managers and leading specialists of organizations providing access to scientific and educational information resources and e- library systems.

The aim of the conference is to discuss the range of issues related to the development of library and information services through the introduction of modern technologies and the computerization of library processes.

The conference program includes the following areas:

1. New technology in the service of users of university libraries. The book provision of the educational process. New forms of humanitarian and educational activities. Virtual exhibitions as an information resource.

2. E-library of modern high school: the structure, content, access, development prospects. Digital library systems. The integration of library and information resources.

3. The new in library fund.

4. Bibliographic resources. The creation of bibliographic databases, bibliographies. The carrying of bibliometric research of publications of authors of the university. Science Citation Index. The virtual service.
