Society and culture: The All-Russian conference on monumental painting in the Novgorod Museum-Reserve

November 26, 2013 in the Novgorod Regional Philharmonic opens the All-Russian conference on the study, preservation and restoration of monumental painting. The conference is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The main objective of the conference - to discuss topical issues of conservation and restoration of works of monumental painting, the features of the technologies used in the conservation and restoration practices, discussion of organizational and methodological issues of functioning of the industry in modern conditions.

The conference is attended by experts in the field of study and conservation of works of monumental painting: art restorers, art historians and experts in the field of physicochemical and biological methods of research, climatology, radiography, museum workers from Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Vologda, Yaroslavl, Pskov, Tver, Staraya Ladoga and Veliky Novgorod.
