To the 300th anniversary of the Holy Trinity Alexander-Nevsky Lavra: the Scientific Conference “Music in the churches of Saint-Petersburg”

The Scientific conference “Music in the churches of St. Petersburg: Actual problems of church-singing practice” is held at the Russian Institute of Art History on November 25, 2013 as part of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Holy Trinity Alexander Nevsky Lavra.

The conference is devoted to the discussion of topical issues of kliros practice and spiritual creativity of contemporary composers and aims to consolidate the efforts of researchers of church-music tradition and church musicians-practitioners to improve the status of religious art in the modern Russian culture.
