International events: Round table “Russians and Koreans: 150 years together” in Moscow

January 17, 2014 in the N. A. Nekrasov Central Universal Scientific Library (Moscow) is held a round table "Russians and Koreans: 150 years together".

November 13, 2013 by the Order of the Minister of Regional Development of Russia was approved a plan of events dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the voluntary resettlement of Koreans in Russia. Among them - international symposiums and conferences, international youth forum, rally through Russia, Central Asia, Kazakhstan, China, North Korea and South Korea and other activities.

Round table will bring together everyone who is interested in the history of Russian-Korean relations, culture and features of Asian thinking, rooted in the minds of the Russian people.

During the meeting guests of the Nekrasov Library will learn about the historical, geographical and cultural processes that bind the peoples of the two countries, they will be able to ask questions about the nature of relations between North and South Korea and to raise other exciting topics.

The collection of national literatures of Russia and foreign countries of the Nekrasov Library has about 200 books in Korean. The most interesting editions will be presented at the book fair in the conference room of the library.

The event is attended by public figures, intellectuals, leaders of national associations of Moscow, the veterans of the Korean social movement, readers of the Nekrasov Library and all comers.
