Information technology and education: Book mobile application for school children launched

The company "LitRes" has launched application for students "LitRes: For School" which includes books of school literary program from 5th to 11th grades recommended for reading by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. Now, any student who has iPhone, iPad or iPod, may read hundreds of e-books on one device.

The application "LitRes: For School" was developed in accordance with federal state educational standard of general education, parents or students can now get one-click preformed set of books included in the compulsory program for 5-6, 7-8, 9 or 10 - 11 grades. According to the CEO "LitRes" Sergei Anuriev, application is designed to simplify the selection and purchase of books for parents and students, especially during vacations and holidays.

A student will be able to read books anywhere: at home, school, or transport, having only smart phone, tablet or player on an iOS. Application interface, traditionally for LitRes, simulates reading from paper with original cover works. Moreover, such "school library" will be useful to teachers of literature who use gadgets in the learning process.

Books for the curriculum can be obtained not only in the form of ready-made sets of classes or individually in the application for iOS "LitRes: For Schools" but in the main application LitRes "Read" for Android, Windows Phone and iOS, as well as on the web site of the online book mega market "LitRes".
