World culture: Exhibition “Dutch Art of the XVII-XIX centuries” in Krasnodar
The F. E. Kovalenko Krasnodar Regional Art Museum until January 19, 2014 hosts the exhibition "Dutch Art of the XVII-XIX centuries from the collection of the museum".
The history of the collections of Dutch art in the Kovalenko Museum started in the first third of the XX century. During the first decades of the century the collections of the museum received more than 70 paintings and drawings created by renowned artists "Golden Age" of Dutch art.
A significant part of acquisitions consists of works from the collection of the State Hermitage Museum. Among them are the leading origin of the personal collections of Russian emperors - Peter I, Catherine II and Paul I.
First-class works of Dutch painters are perfectly complemented with graphics - prints, original drawings. The exposition in its entirety reveals the basic concept of Dutch painting, performed with love for earthly world and man.
