World history and culture: The round table “The First World War and its reflection in the culture” in Saratov
February 12, 2014 the K. S. Fedin State Museum hosts a roundtable "The First World War and its reflection in the culture: religious, ethical and aesthetic aspects" as part of the project "Dialogues on Russian culture".
The round table dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First World War. It is supposed to discuss a wide range of issues: the causes and conditions of the First World War, its reflection in religious and philosophical thought and cultural life of Russia, an influence on the transformation of the world and etc.
During the discussion will be analyzed different spectrums of deformations in the development of culture of the war time, its response to these changes, that is, the degree of influence of the war on the development of culture as a whole and its individual aspects. An important place belongs to the relationship of culture and civilization, the position of the artist.
Roundtable participants are priests, philosophers, cultural historians, linguists, psychologists, writers, critics, museum and library specialists.
