The Society and Reading: Petersburg Reader Forum in St. Petersburg

Russian cultural and creative project "St. Petersburg Reader Forum" runs from April 21st to 26th, 2014.

The project goals and objectives are: to actualize the role of reading in the lives of teenagers and teachers of Russia, to develop the thoughtful reader of choice practice and the need for reading a good books as a spiritual and aesthetic foundation for self-education and self-cultivation throughout life.

Scientific and practical "I am a reader" conference (students’ and teachers’ research and creative works presentation, the readers reviews contest, and the discussion on new products of modern literature) will be held throughout the forum.

The Forum will be giving a seminar on problems of reading (a roundtable discussion on "Reader: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow", the lectures and seminars of the leading pedagogues philologists, and the "School Literary Education in Russia: Myths and Reality" debate slam).
