Russian Memory: "The Military Squads Assembly"  the XV Interregional Historical Festival in Veliky Novgorod

Dedicated to the 772nd anniversary of the victory of the Russian troops of Alexander Nevsky on Lake Peipus/Chudskoe, "The Military Squads Assembly" XV Interregional Historical Festival will be held in Veliky Novgorod on April 12 and 13, 2014.

The festival is being held for the reconstruction and the study of historical events, life and traditions of the military culture of medieval Novgorod.

The archery competitions, martial tournaments for historical fencing, historical costume contest - the historical reconstruction clubs’ show and the 1st step of "martial all-round" competitions near the Kokui Tower are scheduled for April 12; there will be held a mass collision (“sshibka”) - the squads exercise and bugurt.

On April 13, at the walls of the Sophia Cathedral will happen a theatrical squads review the 2nd Stage of "martial all-round", military squads’ maneuvers, mass “sshibka” - bugurt - collision of mass, "Zamurenie Bratinoy" fellowship reconciliation (“bratchina”).
