Internet and culture: In the framework of the project “A. P. Bogolyubov. To mark the 190th anniversary…” the artist’s works are presented on the virtual world map

March 28, 2014 marks the 190th birthday anniversary of the outstanding artist, collector and public figure, founder of the Radischev Museum in Saratov, A. P. Bogolyubov (1824-1896).

Radischev Museum presents a major partnership project, dedicated to the 190th anniversary of A. P. Bogolyubov, which includes exhibitions, creative competitions, educational programs, promotions, a conference.

Also, as part of the events, there is a draft portal GeoGlobalContent "Works of Alexei Petrovich Bogolyubov on the virtual world map." The purpose of the project is to create for a wide range of users an online resource based on the relationship of spatial, temporal and semantic aspects of multimodal data about the cultural and historical events.

The project also presents exhibitions and events.

March 29 - May 11 there will be the exhibition, "My favorite artist and my good friend" which, through the books, tells about the stages of life and activity of the citizen, officer, artist and public figure, the man whose name is associated with the history of the museum.

March 28 - July 6, the exhibition "Graphic album. Foreign engraving from the collection of A. P. Bogolyubov from the holdings of the Radischev Museum" will feature a collection of fine and decorative arts. As well as about three hundred sheets of Russian and foreign graphics, most of which was the Western European engravings. Basically, these are the works of engravers of the French school of the 19th century, as well as English, German, Swiss and Dutch schools. Many of them were given to A. P. Bogolyubov by his colleagues and friends, some purchased from antique dealers.

Also within the framework of the project which marks the 190th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Bogolyubov, museums of the regions of Russia and Saratov regional schools will organize exhibitions.
