Libraries and society: Samara is declared “Library Capital of Russia 2015”

At the final plenary session of the All-Russian Library Congress, which took place in Ryazan on May 18-23, 2014, was declared the city which will host the XX Annual Conference of the Russian Library Association next year. 

Samara has got the status of the “Library Capital of Russia 2015”.

The delegation of the Samara region has been presented the handed memorial sign “Library Capital of Russia”.

Presenting sign – is a symbol that in 2015 the All-Russian Library Congress will take place in this region, which will gather industry experts from all over Russia. Samara libraries will first host an event of this magnitude and importance. It is planned that the program of the All-Russian Library Congress 2015 will be rich and multifaceted with educational, literary and creative workshops, concerts, workshops and lectures.
