World history: Exhibition “Brest Fortress. Roads of memory” in Ryazan
In the Ryazan Museum-Reserve, in the small exhibition hall of the Palace of Oleg, was held the opening of the exhibition “Brest Fortress. Roads of Memory”, provided by the complex “Brest Fortress – a Hero”. It features 230 photographs about the history of “the citadel of courage’, the events which took place on its territory in the period from 1830 to the present time. Certainly, a special section of the exhibition – is the story of the events of June – July 1941, the chronicle of one of the first battles of the Great Patriotic War. By the cost of sufferings and losses, examples of true courage and military valor, in memory of descendants, the garrison of the Brest Fortress deserved the definition “immortal”.
On these days in Brest starts the exhibiting of the photo exhibition “Soldiers of Victory” from the collections of the Ryazan Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve.
The exhibition will run in the Ryazan Kremlin until June 8, 2014.
