International conferences: The Council of Europe held a Youth Seminar on the World War II
The first International Youth Seminar “Memory of Lessons of the World War II” took place in the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. The seminar was organized on the initiative of the Russian Federation. The forum was attended by more than 50 participants from Russia, Armenia, Belorussia, Belgium, Germany, Moldova, Poland, France, Croatia and Montenegro.
The discussion, taking place on May 2-4, welcomed students and representatives of national public organizations, memorial complexes, members of search teams, social activists. During these days they learned about the principles of work of the Council of Europe, discussed the role of European institutions in the education of the youth, common approaches in the prevention of the development of Nazism, fascism and racism in Europe. The event took place in an open format with the participation of representatives and experts of the Council of Europe.
