Information technology and authority: Priority directions of informatization of state bodies for 2015 determined

At the meeting of the Government Commission on the use of information technology for the improvement of quality of life and the business environment, the Minister of Communications and Mass Media  of the Russian Federation Nikolai Nikiforov told about the results of the coordination of informatization in 2013 and its priority directions of public authorities for 2015. 

According to the Minister’s report, the priority directions are the following:

- the development of information-communication technology, used in the delivery of public services and the performance of public functions;

- the improvement of the efficiency of the processes of creation and use of information and communication technologies in government, including through a phased transition to a centralized delivery model of standard IT services and unified state of computing and information and telecommunications infrastructure;

- the ensuring of information and communication technology requirements of the openness of public authorities, taking into account the concept of open data.
