
International events: International Scientific-Practical Conference “Religion and Authority” in Saint-Petersburg
The State Museum of the History of religion holds on June 16-17, 2014 in Saint-Petersburg the International Scientific-Practical Conference “Religion and Authority”.
The purpose of the conference – is the exchange of research and practical experience in the widest range of issues on theory and international practice of international relations of various religions associations and institutions of government in the history and modernity. In order to see the ways of constructive engagement of religions and secular institutions on the basis of civil world and social partnership in the rapidly changing conditions of modern reality.
The following areas are supposed for discussion:
- Models of church-state relations: historical experience and modern practice;
- Problem of freedom of religion and freedom of conscience and legal aspects;
- Religious organizations and modern socio-political processes;
- Sacral and non-sacral authority in the history and modernity.
