History of Russia: Exhibition “Photo chronicle of a great country: events, people” in Tambov

June 11, 2014 in the Museum and exhibition center of the Tambov region opens an exhibition of the famous photo correspondent of newspapers "The Truth", "News", "Krasnaya Zvezda" A. V. Ustinov (Moscow) "Photo chronicle of a great country: events, people".

The exhibition is dedicated to Day of Russia and the Day of the city of Tambov. The exhibition presents photographs taken by A. V. Ustinov during the Great Patriotic War, when he was a front-line photojournalist of newspaper "Pravda", pictured battles of Moscow, on the Volkhov, West, South-West, Leningrad, Stalingrad, Bryansk, 1, 2 , 4th Ukrainian fronts, shot guerrilla action behind enemy lines, a meeting of Soviet and American troops on the Elbe on April 25, 1945.

He is an author of a great chronicle of the history of the country, Parade in November 7, 1941 on Red Square in Moscow and Victory Parade in 1945.

Also are presented unique photographs depicting the visit of N. S. Khrushchev in the United States for meetings with Fidel Castro and Soviet cosmonauts, the arrival in our country Dzhavaharlar Nehru and Van Cliburn, meetings with ballerina Maya Plisetskaya and composer Rodion Shchedrin. Large block of the exhibition is devoted to meetings with a group of astronauts, photojournalist, and reportage wedding of Valentina Tereshkova.

Each thematic section of the exhibition presents cosmic relics, newspapers frontline hard times, and other rare exhibits about life of the country.
