International initiatives: The official website of the Year of Russian language and literature in Germany launched
The International project of the “Russian newspaper” Russia Beyond The Headlines has launched a resource russjahr.de. Its purpose is to increase an interest of the German public to the study of the Russian language and literature and to present useful materials to translators and teachers. The resource will become an official flyer of events of the Year of Russian language and literature in Germany.
In 2012-13 was held a crossover Year of Culture of Russia and Germany, the success and popularity of which contributed to continued close cooperation between the two countries. Year 2014 has been declared the Year of Cross-Russian language and literature in Germany and the German language and literature in Russia. The organizers are the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany. The official Program of the Year includes more than 200 events and activities that contribute to the development and strengthening of cross-cultural linguistic ties between Russia and Germany: conferences, seminars, master classes for teachers, translators, literary readings and others.
It is planned that the site will regularly publish text, illustrative and multimedia materials popularizing nature in applied aspects of the study of Russian language and literature. A special place on the site takes visual vocabulary, which is a series of illustrations with a clear demonstration of the use of common phrases in Russian. The site also provides a base of educational institutions, where in Germany the Russian language can be learnt.
Heroes of the interview of the website russjahr.de will be teachers of Russian language and literature, translators, linguists and members of the official program of the Year. One of the first was the presenter of intellectual reality show on TV channel "Culture", polyglot, simultaneous translator, teacher and author of a technique of intensive training in foreign languages Dmitry Petrov, who shared with readers russjahr.de, how in the shortest possible time to learn Russian as a foreign language.
