July 3 in the Narva Castle (north-east Estonia) opened the exhibition “Letters to Sala”, telling of the fate of one of the victims of Holocaust. The exhibition tells the story of Sala Tsarntsazh, Jewish of Polish origin, who during the World War II was imprisoned in Nazi concentration camps.

After the liberation Sala did not tell anyone about her past. Only 50 years later, she showed her daughter Ann Kirschner more than 350 letters, photographs and documents of that time. Sala’s letters tell of the life of Jews in occupied Poland, in Nazi camps and the human needs to return to normal life after the catastrophe.

The exhibition will run until September 8, 2014.
