Russian language abroad: The preparation for the XIII Congress of International Association of Teachers of Russian language and literature in Spain

In Spain has started the preparation for the XIII Congress of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature (MAPRYAL), which will be held in September 2015 in Granada. It will be called "Russian language and literature in the space of world culture". These congresses are held once every four years, the last time it was held in Shanghai in 2011. The fact that the world's largest forum of Russian Language will be held this time in Spain, it is quite natural.

"The University of Granada is one of the oldest in Spain and Europe, with a rich history in the field of Spanish Russian studies, where the teaching of the Russian language began more than half a century ago, - said Professor of the University of Granada, Vice President of MAPRYAL Guzman Tirado. - Granada - one of the most beautiful and oldest cities in Spain, inspired the work of many Russian writers, poets, artists and composers in particular".

According to head of the international academic projects of the Institute of Russian Language and Culture of the Moscow State University, Associate Professor Irina Kurlova, over the past five years on the basis of the University of Granada only IRYaiK held four seminars for teachers of Russian as a foreign language, two of them - with the support of "Russian world". 2015 plans to hold two seminars - "Actual problems of teaching Russian as a foreign language" in the Complutense University of Madrid and the "How to teach children of compatriots" in the Russian house at the Russian Orthodox Church in Madrid.

In Barcelona each summer hosts the annual All-Spanish conference of Teachers of Russian as a foreign language.
