History of Russia: Livadia Palace in the Crimea presents "The Romanovs. My History"

15 August 2014

On August 15, 2014, at the Livadia Palace (Livadia Town, Yalta, Crimea Republic) presents "The Romanovs. My History" exhibition. Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky will attend the opening.

This exhibition is a sequel of the "Orthodox Russia. My History. The Romanovs" interactive exhibition project dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty. The exposition with the use of contemporary technologies (3D- and animated collages, light boxes, touchscreen panels and projection screens) is changing and enriching, depending on the venue. The project has been successfully held in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Tyumen. This time the organizers have added little-known facts about the history of the Crimean peninsula.

"Romanovs. My history" venue’s choice in the Crimea is nonrandom: a massive white stone palace surrounded by parks and gardens became a favorite summer residence of the royal family: Czar Nicholas II granted its author Nikolai Krasnov a title of the Architect of Imperial Court.

The exhibition "The Romanovs. My History" was organized under the auspices of the Patriarchal Council for Culture and with the assistance of The Administration of The President of Russia, the Ministry of Culture of Russia, and the Council of Ministers of Crimea.
