Earlier this exhibition has already been presented in Bamberg, Munich, Berlin, Duisburg and now continued its journey around Germany.
The main objectives of the institute in Dresden are the dialogue with Russian and German cultures and the preservation of the historical memory. A unique project “Hoffmanniana” which was presented by specialists of the Kaliningrad Regional history and Art Museum during the solemn opening of the exhibition represents these objectives. As part of the series, which has been around for 8 years, in various countries were presented expositions, telling of the life and work of the famous German story-teller.
The exhibition “Meetings with E. T. A. Hoffmann” tells of the fate of the writer who is going through the era of deep change. Like following his route, visitors can “walk” through narrow streets of old German cities, which influenced much on his work. The exposition combines documentary evidence if writer’s life and the best works of the art project “Hoffmanniana”.
