Society and Culture: International Cultural Center will be instituted in Arkhangelsk

International Cultural Centre will be established in Arkhangelsk. Grant for support the innovative projects in the field of contemporary art is awarded within the framework of the federal program with "Culture of Russia (2012 - 2018 years)" objective.

The competition was held among non-profit organizations. Its goal is to support projects focused on search and experiment, the application of modern multimedia technologies, and the innovations’ promotion. A project of creation of the International Cultural Center (ICC) on the basis of the Arkhangelsk branch of the Union of Artists meets the requirements.

Arkhangelsk Artists have become regular participants of various exchange and exhibition projects at the international level. More recently, they have an opportunity to have their colleagues from other regions of Russia and Europe in their own territory: in the summer of this year the art residence were launched on the basis of the exhibition hall of the Union of Artists.

Art residence will become a basis for the ICC creation in the Arkhangelsk Region. And as early as at the end of November 2014, the "Modern Art in the European North" International Cultural Forum will be held on the basis of the ICC with the participation of experts from Europe and the regions of Russia.
