Museums and society: The Hermitage topped the rating of museums in Europe by the International portal for travelers

The State Hermitage Museum has become the best European Museum in 2014 according to the ranking of the International portal for travelers TripAdvisor.

Thus, the Hermitage has become the only Russian Museum in TOP-25 Traveller's Choice, created on the basis of reviews of tourists.

The second place in the list was the Accademia Gallery in Florence, the third - the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.

The world ranking of museums TripAdvisor in 2014 Hermitage was the third one, giving leadership to Art Institute of Chicago and the National Anthropological Museum in Mexico City, took first and second place of rankings, respectively.
