September 2, 2014 at the Children's Museum Center (the Novgorod Kremlin) opens the exhibition "War and Peace". Novgorod and Novgorod residents during the First World War. From the collections of the Novgorod Museum-Reserve and the State Archive of the Novgorod region".
Novgorod Province was not in close proximity to the theater of military operations, however the events of 1914-1918 deeply impacted on its life.
Historical-documentary exhibition "War and Peace. Novgorod and Novgorod residents during the First World War" offers a kind of sketches from the life of Novgorod distant and heavy time - in a military unit, hospital, market, in the office of the provincial administration, in Illusion "Images of war".
The exhibits, there are more than 200 of them, - is the official documents, biographical information, photographs, documentary footage, objects - reflect the events of the inner life of the Novgorod land during the First World War.
The exhibition will run until November 16, 2014.
