Information technology and libraries: "The Electronic Resources of Libraries, Museums and Archives" X All-Russian theoretical and practical conference in St. Petersburg

From October 30th to October 31st, 2014, Vladimir Mayakovsky Central City Public Library (St. Petersburg) carries out the "Electronic Resources of Libraries, Museums and Archives" commemorative X All-Russian theoretical and practical conference. Conference theme is the "Information Resources - Futurological Aspect: Plans, Forecasts and Prospects."

The Conference is targeted to the information professionals of culture and education (librarians, bibliographers, museum and archive workers), the databases’ and digital libraries’ managers and administrators, specialized vocational schools faculty and postgraduates, and the electronic library systems providers’ employees.

The main thematic areas are:

- Future of libraries, museums and archives in the digital age;

- An outlook for promotion of the information resources of libraries, museums and archives in online environment;
