Memorable dates of Russia: The National Pushkin Museum hosts solemn events dedicated to the Day of the Lyceum

The National Pushkin Museum from 16-20 October 2014 hosts the International Festival of the Lyceum "The Tsarskoye Selo Autumn".

October 19 is a special day in the Russian history. On this day in 1811 took place the opening of the Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum.

In 1993, in honor of this event, at the National Pushkin Museum was conceived festival "Tsarskoye Selo Autumn", which from now is an annual gathering on the eve of the lyceum holiday under the arches of the famous school of everyone honored the lyceum motto "For the common good!".

October 19 at the Museum-Lyceum (Pushkin) marks solemn events dedicated to the Day of the Lyceum.

At the monument to A. S. Pushkin in the Lyceum garden is held a ceremony "Sacred Lyceum Day", and in the Museum of the Lyceum will be held a traditional literary-musical evening dedicated to the 203d anniversary of the Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum and the 135th anniversary of the first Russian Pushkin Museum.
