Internet and museums: The Kaliningrad Historical and Art Museum website provides the room of M. I. Kutuzov in 3D format

The Kaliningrad Regional Historical and Art Museum together with the Military-Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineer and Signal Corps (Saint-Petersburg) with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Kaliningrad region presents a virtual version of the room, where the Great Russian commander Mikhail Illarionovich Kutuzov spent his last days. The project is implemented within the framework of the events, associated with the 200^th anniversary of foreign campaigns of the Russian Army in 1813-1814.

Visitors of the official website of the Museum can now take part in a virtual tour of the reconstructed Internet glorified cabinet of Field Marshal. Here are presented rooms which are completely remodeled, as well as uniform items and equipment, weapons, arts, painting and graphics era of the Patriotic War of 1812 and foreign campaigns of the Russian Army 1813-1814, each of which is accompanied by a brief background information.

16 (28) in April 1813 in the Silesian town Buntslau (now the town of Boleslawiec, Poland) at 68 died chief of the Russian army, General Field Marshal Mikhail Kutuzov, just a few months before triumphantly ended the Patriotic War of 1812. In the center of Buntslau on behalf of the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm III was was erected an obelisk in honor of the great commander. The inscription on it reads: "So places brought Prince Kutuzov of Smolensk victorious Russian troops. But here put the death limit its glory days. He saved his homeland. He opened the way to save the peoples. Be blessed the memory of a hero". The house where the Russian Filed Marshal lived his last days, was a museum, which lasted many years, but in 1991 it was closed and the exhibits were taken to St. Petersburg. Now the building houses the Museum of Ceramics of Boleslawiec, which also features a collection related to the Napoleonic era in Silesia - weapons, uniforms of soldiers, furniture and other curiosities.
