
Society and culture: The museum program “Genius of a Place. New Local History” is opened in the renovated manor of Zamyatin – Tretyakov in Moscow
October 1, 2014 is held the opening ceremony of the new museum of the "Genius of a Place. New local history". The event was attended by Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky and President of the Russian Culture Fund Nikita Mikhalkov.
The event takes place on the manor of A. E. Zamyatin – S. M. Tretyakov of the XVIII-XIX centuries (the main house with a wing and a fence) - historical and cultural monument of federal significance. In 2011-2014, the Ministry of Culture of Russia in the framework of the federal target program "Culture of Russia (2006-2011 years)" and "Culture of Russia (2012-2018 years)" produced repair and restoration works.
The manor of A. E. Zamyatin – S. M. Tretyakov was built in the middle of the XVIII century (1770s). At the beginning of 1870, it was owned by Sergei Tretyakov, a well-known art collector.
In 2011, the Ministry of Culture of Russia developed the concept of cultural and artistic space of the estate, providing careful operation of an architectural monument of federal significance, but at the same time allows you making the most of its unique capabilities to achieve the objectives of the Russian Cultural Foundation, which was assigned to the estate in 1986.
