Memory of the world: The monument symbolizing the ruined Reichstag erected in Moscow

Sculptors from the Grekov Studio of Military Artists erected the memorial composition symbolizing the ruined Reichstag near the complex of buildings of the Ministry of Defense of Russia on the Frunze Embankment in Moscow. The solemn opening of the monument will be held on December 16, 2014.

The monument, erected near the building of the Ministry of Defense, recalls of the battle near Moscow in 1941, of planting of a Banner over Reichstag and a Parade of Victory on June 24, 1945.

At length the sculpture composition will be about 11 meters, and the highest element – nine meters.
