The Russian language: Open online-courses of the Russian language presented in Moscow

The multimedia round table "Education in Russian: new opportunities within the massive open online courses" was held in MIA "Russia Today". There was held the presentation of massive open online courses, promoting Russian language and education in Russian.

According to the rector of the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language Margarita Rusetskaya, under the federal government's programs to promote Russian language and education in Russian the Institute implements the project, which creates the conditions for learning the Russian language with the use of remote sensing technology anywhere in the world and motivates people to learn Russian.

According to her, it was decided in addition to special resource for the study of the Russian language as a foreign one, to create in electronic format of a special section where will be placed training courses, the authors of which will be the best universities.

Currently, it is already opened 15 mass online-courses, until the end of 2015 they will be at least 80.

The multimedia round table was held in the format of a video bridge "Moscow - London - Vladikavkaz - Novosibirsk". During connection from London Acting Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia QS Quacquarelli Symonds Irina Tolstova emphasized that the project was not only useful in terms of promoting the Russian language abroad, but also in terms of overall internationalization of education.
