To the 71st anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from Nazi blockade: Events in Saint-Petersburg

January 27, 2015 the city hosts memorable events in honor of the 71st anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from Nazi blockade.

At 16.00 will be held the action “Sky of Leningrad”. In the sky will be raised airships of air defense, which existed in the besieged Leningrad. Prior to this, young activists will hold columns with models of balloons from different parts of the city to the Palace Square.

On the Palace Square at 19 o'clock a minute of silence will be held. Then s the poetic flash mob will be held - 5,000 people in chorus will read the poem by the poet Olga Bergholz Leningrad "We do not come off on you…", the leader of the creative process will be the People's Artist of Russia, Director of the Museum-monument "St. Isaac's Cathedral" Nikolai Burov.

There will be presented an exhibition of military equipment of the Great Patriotic War. In the arch of the General Staff will run the installation site where everyone can learn about life and those living in the besieged city, as well as get acquainted with the work of the search traffic in Russia.

In memory of the great date in our history will be lit torches on the Rostral columns. The memorable evening will be summarized with the fireworks, dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the breakthrough of the blockade of Leningrad and the 71st anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade.
