Exhibitions: The exposition “Phenomenal Reflection”, dedicated to Saint-Petersburg and Amsterdam, in the Peter and Paul Fortress
The exhibition “Phenomenal Reflection” is held from January 22 to February 15, 2015 in the Peter and Paul Fortress (Saint-Petersburg).
The exhibition features about 30 photographs, implemented by Maria Kremneva. They depict reflected landscapes in water of Petersburg and Amsterdam.
Petersburg and Amsterdam are cities, built on water, where numerous rivers and canals are an integral part of the urban environment and create its unique appearance. Reflected in water surface architectural landscapes give the images of these cities a romantic charm.
The reflection creates “another reality”, on the one hand, related to the visible world, and on the other hand – absolutely phenomenal, existing in their irrational laws. This feature of “phenomenal reflection” the photographer Maria Kremneva tried to explore in her works.
The photographs depict the reflection of quays, streets, bridges, cathedrals of Petersburg and Amsterdam in water surface.
