Information technology and culture: Virtual branch of the State Russian Museum opens in the Primorsky district of Saint-Petersburg

January 15, 2015 at the Library №1 of the Centralized Library System of the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg opens the 158th informational and educational center "The State Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch". This is the twenty-sixth virtual branch of the State Russian Museum, which opened in St. Petersburg, and the sixth branch in the Primorsky district of the city.

To date, the Library number №1 is an important cultural center of the seaside district of St. Petersburg, an unusual space, open to free creativity and unique ideas, where innovation is in harmony with the rich experience and traditions.

The participation of the Library №1 of the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg in the project "The State Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch" opens up new opportunities for readers to explore the largest collection of Russian art, presented at the State Russian Museum. The latest technology will allow library workers to expand the already established educational projects, as well as to carry out a range of activities within the project "The State Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch", will create new opportunities for cooperation with the State Russian Museum and its virtual branches.
