Information technology and culture: The project “The State Russian Museum: the Virtual branch” will continue its development in 2015

In 2015, as part of the project "The State Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch" will be opened about 20 new informational and educational centers in Russia and abroad. The new members of the project will be the city of Surgut, Novokuybyshevsk, Sergiev Posad, Blagoveshchensk and many others. Virtual branches will be opened in small towns of Russia - Solvychegodsk and Iskitim. It will be planned abroad virtual branches of the State Russian Museum in Armenia, Spain and Cuba.

The official website of the project will contain new virtual exhibitions, which will include works from the collection of the State Russian Museum and art museums of Russia.

New contest of multimedia resources, held annually in the framework of the project, will be dedicated to the people whose life and work were laid in the glory of the Fatherland. Virtual exhibition of the same name will traditionally take its place in the "Art Gallery" at the portal of the project and will be thematic, information and resource base of the contest.

In 2015, on-line lectures in Multimedia Center of the State Russian Museum will continue its work. It is assumed that a series of lectures "Conversations about art with the State Russian Museum" and "Virtual School of museology" will supplement a series of online lectures on the collections of art museums of Russia, which will be read by partners - participants of the project "The State Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch". This proposal was made at the annual meeting of leaders of virtual branches of the State Russian Museum, which was held in December 2014 in St. Petersburg, and was supported by many participants of the project.
