Memory of Russia: A. S. Pushkin Remembrance Day in Saint-Petersburg

December 10, the National Pushkin Museum (Saint-Petersburg) traditionally holds the A. S. Pushkin Remembrance Day.

On this day will be held the opening of the exhibition from the museum collection “A. S. Pushkin and M. Y. Lermontov. Contemporaries”.

The commemorative meeting devoted to the 178th anniversary of the death of A. S. Pushkin will be held in the courtyard of the museum, near the monument to the poet, and the moment of silence will be also declared.

The ceremony will be conducted by Director of the National Pushkin Museum, Doctor of Cultural Studies, Professor Sergei Nekrasov. The speeches will be delivered by speaker of the A. S. Pushkin Memorial Museum-Apartment, Doctor of Philology Galina Sedova, cultural and science leaders – participants of commemorative meeting, will be declared poems of A. S. Pushkin in professional acting performance. The commemorative meeting will be attended by the Children’s choir of television and Radio of Saint-Petersburg under the Honored Artists of Russia Stanislav Gribkov.
