February 9, 2015 the Lazarus tomb, located on the territory of the Necropolis of the XVIII century of the Alexander-Nevsky Lavra, is opened after the restoration.

Small stone tomb of Lazarus was built in 1717 for the burial of her beloved sister of Peter I, Princess Natalia Alexeevna. In the 1780s the tomb was expanded to the west, and under its roof there were monuments of the Sheremetev. The current appearance of the building was received in 1836-1837 years, when its major restructuring that was conducted by the architect L. Y. Tiblen.

The Lazarus tomb is a unique monument of Russian history and culture. Among the most famous names that can be read on it are highly monuments - the hero of the Great Northern War Count B. Sheremetev, serf actress, who became Countess Sheremeteva P. I. Kovaleva-Zhemtchugova, the hero of Navarin and great-uncle of Alexander Pushkin and I. A. Hannibal, the hero of Borodino F. P. Uvarov, the recipient of the lyrics of A. S. Pushkin, "night princess" E. I. Golitsyn.

The interior of the tomb sets tombstones - outstanding works of art of the memorial, which do not have analogues.
