To the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory: The exhibition of archival documents “The Great War – the Great Victory” in Khakassia

As part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory the National Archive of the Republic of Khakassia (Abakan) on March 24, 2015 opens the exposition of archival documents “The great War – the Great Victory”. The exhibition will remind younger generation about the feat and the contribution, which Khakassia made during the Great Patriotic War, about the heroes, who brought fame  to Khakassia by their feat of arms.

The Great Victory was forged on the front and in the rear – on the idea it is built the compositional content of the documentary exhibition. Many archival documents are exhibited for the first time.  

Visitors can see the documents, revealing the work of the mobilizations and the military-defense activities in the Khakassia Autonomous region of the first days of the war, declarations of volunteers of acceptance to the front, evidence is brightly reflected in front letters, memories of the Great Patriotic War participants, Heroes of the Soviet Union.

The fighting way of the gallant 309th Pyryatynsky Division, formed in 1941 in the city of Abakan and 54 Heroes of the Soviet Union, is revealed in the photo exposition “Born in Khakassia, hardened in battles”.

The exhibition includes information about hospitals, children’s homes, evacuated in Khakassia in 1941-1945. The exhibition also features unique documents about the evacuation to Khakassia of industrial plants and the transition of agriculture on war footing.

The exposition features a rich photo illustrative row, posters of war years. The exhibition will run until October 2015.
