History and culture: The exhibition “Easter holiday celebration” to be open in Orenburg

April 15, 2015 in the gallery "Orenburg shawl" will be open the exhibition "Easter holiday celebration".

Russia has a long tradition of collecting Easter eggs. Decorative design eggs surprises with a variety of visual forms and motifs associated with local traditions in different parts of Russia.

The exhibition presents works carried out by professional artists’ sketches in the traditional centers of lacquer miniature - Palekh, Mstera, Kholui. Famous "Eggs", molten wax and paint eggs, dyed in various natural pigments, surprise with incredible fantasy art techniques and solutions. Emphasis is placed on the eggs, made of beads, embroidery supplemented by many ribbons.

The exhibition will run until May 15, 2015.
