Museums of Russia: The exhibition “Link of Times”, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the Radischev Museum, in Saratov

April 3, 2015 in the Radischev Museum (Saratov) is opened the exhibition "Link of Times. Painting, sculpture, artist's book of Saratov artists of the late XIX - early XXI century".

The exhibition "Link of Times", dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the Radischev Museum features works from his collection created by Saratov artists, since the eighties of the XIX century - until today. History of Fine Arts of the city is inextricably linked with the history of the museum. Largely due to the opening of the museum in Saratov there was a brilliant assemblage of artists not a provincial scale - Victor Borisov-Musatov, Pavel Kuznetsov, Peter Utkin, Alexander Savin, Alexander Matveyev. 

The exhibition first tries not just show the history of the phased development of the Saratov Fine Arts, but to identify the main trends and identify circles and communication within such an extended artistic process. The exposition is not in chronological order, and on the principle of formal and stylistic closeness of works from various periods that allow seeing how the findings made by the artists at the beginning of the last century, were used in the second half of the XX and continue to evolve in the early XXI century.
