 
  The Presidential Library: New acquisitions
      The Presidential Library collection has been enriched with materials on the history of the Penza province (now the Penza region and the Republic of Mordovia) received from the Penza Regional Library, and an Annual report of the Presidential Library.
The issue of the colonization of the Penza region since ancient times by Mordovians (before XVI century) and the Russians, as the entire territory of the Penza region became part of the Russian state (XVI-XVIII centuries), is considered to sketch the history of the Penza region (Penza, 1922) A. Khvoschev (edition has an application in the form of ethnographic and two historical maps of Penza region, and a plan of the city of Penza in the XVIII century) and in the book of M. A. Lebedev Brief information about the history of the Penza region (Penza, 1928).
In the "Proceedings of the Penza Society of Naturalists and local history" Issue. 7: Antiquities of the Penza province (Penza, 1925) are described the archaeological sites and findings (dwellings, burial equipment, decoration) of different ages and cultures in the region.
Instruction to reveal information about the history of rural settlements of the Penza region (Penza, 2001), a leading archivist of the State Archive of Penza region S. N. Kuzichkin reflects the contents of the documentary funds of the State archive of the Penza region and aims to provide practical assistance to researchers and archive staff in the organization of studies history of settlements of the region.
Representatives of the government on the territory of the region is devoted to two books by the same author: They ruled the province of Penza (Penza, 2002), and the Rulers of Penza (Penza, 2014). The first of these contains biographical articles about the rulers of the province, starting with the first governor of the Penza governor-I. A. Stupishin to the last pre-revolutionary Penza governor A. A. Evreinov. The second is devoted to the chairmen of the executive committee of the Penza from 1917 to 1928. In these works, the author used the documents and materials of the State Archive of Penza region, regional literature, various encyclopedic reference.
Volume 30 "The first general census of the Russian Empire in 1897" (St. Petersburg, 1903) provides an overview of the digital data in the Penza province, as well as a pointer to the suburbs and settlements, ranked as the composition of the cities in the development of census data.
The collection of the Penza Regional Committee, Issue 4 (Penza, 1899) includes Construction book of the city of Penza (a book about the construction of new and reconstruction of the fortifications of the old town in the XVII century), materials on the history of the Penza province, a brief outline of the city of Saransk, and also contains information on arch pastors of Penza province and fauna. The sixth issue (Penza, 1905) collected folk songs of Russian Penza province and household of Mordovians and historical songs - "Moksha".
Information of the overview and reference books is contained in memorial book of the Penza province for 1854, 1858, 1865, 1866, 1867, 1884, 1889, 1893, 1894, 1895, 1900, 1901, 1902, 1904 Commemorative books - references to official yearbooks, which were issued in 89 provinces and regions of the Russian Empire from the mid 1830s until 1917 by local officials and bodies of internal affairs. Commemorative books contain information about the composition and occupation of the inhabitants, the state of nature, economy, culture and way of life. In the most complete form, they include four major sections: an address-calendar, the administrative guide, a statistical review, scientific and local history collection. In the present edition of the surname, name, patronymic and position of persons of military, civil and religious authorities in the Penza province by counties.

Also the Presidential Library website houses Annual Report (St. Petersburg, 2015), which provides information about all activities of the Presidential Library in anniversary 2014.
The publication anticipates welcoming remarks of the Head of Presidential Property Department of the President of the Russian Federation A. S. Kolpakov and Doctor of Law, Professor, Director General of the Presidential Library A. P. Vershinin.
Features of electronic fund Presidential Library in digital copies of publications, archival documents, multimedia materials on the basis of integration of information resources from various sources are reflected in the section "Information resources".
In the section "Information Technology" is described a modernizing information system in the form of the electronic collection, as well as in long-term storage.
Such important areas of the library, as the provision of electronic reading room and a multimedia portal and the organization of remote access to its information resources in university libraries and universal subjects of the Russian Federation are described at the section "Information services".
A special section is devoted to the main directions of information-analytical, scientific, and educational activities of the library, including publishing, interpretation and exhibition work and organizing and conducting scientific and practical conferences and forums.
The section "Cooperation" is about expanding cooperation of the Presidential Library with the federal, regional and municipal, including national and industry-leading, libraries of the country, as well as the international activities of the library (part in leading professional organizations, cooperation with foreign agencies, libraries and archives, the creation of centers of remote access to information resources of the library in foreign countries).
The section "Projects" provides information about specific projects, collections of scientific and educational events, exhibitions, creative competitions, publishing and multimedia projects.
