Exhibitions: The exhibition of artists of the Petersburg “New Academy” opened in Budapest

The exhibition "New Academy. Absolute beauty", which presents the work of the St. Petersburg artistic movement of 1980-1990's, opened on July 10 in the Ludwig Museum in Budapest. The exhibition features as a new academic, originated in the Leningrad underground, it went far beyond it and gained fans and followers.

The organizers - representatives of the Ural Vision Gallery from Yekaterinburg - put your audience in order to demonstrate the last great European art style of the last century. Most of the exhibits were brought from Russia - from public museums and private collections.

The most important place belongs to founders of the exposition given to this movement - Timur Novikov. In addition to the works, you can see his sculptures and picturesque portraits.

According to the curators, they wanted to show the creativity of the artists - members of the movement. Including Georgy Guryanov, Denis Yegelsky, Olga Tobreluts, Andrei Medvedev, Oleg Maslov and Viktor Kuznetsov. Among the exhibits - paintings, sculptures, collages, photographs, costumes, sketches and videos.
