Memory of Russia: The III International historical festival “Ladoga” in the Leningrad region
4-5 July 2015 the museum-reserve "Staraya Ladoga" (the Leningrad region) and the Agency for historical projects "Mighty man" invite to visit the III International historical festival "Ladoga".
The festival "Ladoga" is a reference to the origins of Russian history and the era of militant Vikings, Slavs and Finno-Ugric peoples. It revives harbor days when only started the formation of its Old Russian state of the IX-XI centuries. Military battles and competition, the race for boats, crafts, cooking, - the guests of the festival appear different facets of military and civilian life of those distant times.
The festival welcomes re-enactors of the world-from Russia, CIS countries and Europe.
The main program of the festival is concentrated geographically near and inside the Fortress Museum "Staraya Ladoga". Inside the fortress will run an interactive history camp, where re-enactors will talk about camp life Viking life and culture of a military squad.
