Memory of the world: The military-historical festival “Gumbinnen battle” in the Kaliningrad region

August 22-23, 2015 in the Kaliningrad region is held the military-historical festival "Gumbinnen battle".

August 22 on the battlefield in the village of Lermontovo the Russian and foreign re-constructors will show episode of the "East Prussian operation" in 1944.

The guests of the festival are offered interactive workshops where everyone can get acquainted with the field hospital, to pass the obstacle course, shooting at a shooting range and to learn dancing of the war years. The highlight of the first day will be a parade of art.

August 23 will be fully devoted to the subject of the First World War. In Gusev will be organized theatrical procession of "Parade of winners", then re-enactors in the form of a soldier of those years will be held a parade to the monument to fallen soldiers "bayonet", where a solemn laying of flowers will take place. Then in the territory of fitness center of E. M. Popov will be unfolded a reconstruction of army life. Guests will be working machine-gun point, the camp of the imperial Russian and German armies, recruiting classes, and everyone can take a picture in a military costume.
