Society and culture: The International Festival of the Photography in Uglich

From August 5-9, 2015 at the IX International Festival of the Photography “Photo parade in Uglich” will be held meetings with Russian and foreign masters of photography, lectures, master classes, competitions, portfolio review, exhibitions, discussions and evening video projections.

For the third year in a row as part of the event is held the All-Russian contest "The point on the map. Cities of the Russian province", dedicated to the subject of small and medium-sized cities in Russia.

As part of the exhibition program will be held more than 15 photo exhibitions, including an exhibition project of the TASS news agency "City of Russia. 70 years later", an exhibition of the finalists' works; project dedicated to the memory of photographer Andrei Stenina and a video projection and the winners of his name, founded by the news agency MIA "Russia Today", as well as a photo project of the publishing house "Kommersant", exhibitions of Russian photographer Sergey Ilnitsky, Alexander Petrosyan, Valery Melnikov, Alexei Myakishev, curatorial project Alexander Tyagny-Ryadno, the winners of the exhibition portfolio review "Fotoparada 2014". 

For the first time this year visitors and residents of Uglich will be organized a retro photo atelier "Photo parade portrait". Anyone can obtain free printed photos in the style studio portrait of the XIX century in the scenery and costumes of the urban dweller of Uglich this era.

At the closing ceremony on August 9 Photo Festival will be announced the winners of the photo contest "Point on the map. Cities of the Russian province".
