Russian culture abroad: Cultural center “The Institute of Pushkin” in Ecuador
The Samara State Aerospace University opens in the capital of Ecuador, Quito, the first Latin American Cultural Center "Institute of Pushkin".
The Center is opened as a result of cooperation with the University of Latin-American-Russian Association of Higher Education (ALARA).
"The center will be one of the main centers of Russian culture in Latin America. Over time, these centers will be opened in other Latin American countries, where the association has its offices in Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia", - said the press service of the university.
The report notes that SSAU involved in this project - is not only to promote the deepening of cultural cooperation with Latin American countries, but also an opportunity to attract new students.
The training program will include not only the Russian language and familiarity with the culture of Russia, but also courses in mathematics, physics, computer science. Check the knowledge and the dynamics of training is planned with the help of remote control test.
To teach at the cultural centers will be possible to representatives of Russian communities, embassies, as well as schools in the Russian embassies. The education system is structured in such a way as to adequately prepare students to the peculiarities of living and studying in Samara.
The Samara State Aerospace University is one of the 20 Russian universities, which since 2013 in collaboration with the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language participates in the program of the Government of the Russian Federation to promote the Russian language, culture and education in foreign countries. This promotion is through the establishment of cultural centers of the "Institute of Pushkin", which are analogous to the Spanish "Instituto Cervantes" and Chinese "Confucius Institute".
